CHANGING YOUR LIFESTYLE ISN'T EASY.
BUT 2 CUPS A DAY? THAT'S SIMPLE.

WHAT ARE PLANT STANOLS?

Benecol® Products contain a plant-based ingredient proven to lower cholesterol. They can be found naturally in some edible plants – mainly in grains but also in corn, fruits, and vegetables. However, most of these foods contain only trace amounts of it, which means you would have to consume massive amounts to have any effect on your cholesterol levels.

Plant Stanols Are:

  • Proven to reduce cholesterol
  • Derived from natural plant sources
  • Used with a heart-healthy diet for cholesterol-lowering benefits

Plant Stanols can also be used with statin medications for ADDITIONAL cholesterol lowering benefits

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Plant stanol esters reduce the absorption of cholesterol from the digestive tract, resulting in lower blood levels of total and LDL-cholesterol.
